'Still Loving You'

After a long time, I'm listening to, "Still loving you", it has one of the haunting progressions ever. Gm-Eb-D7. I first heard this Scorpions song, when I was 17. Starts with a delayed lightly detuned guitar broken chords, and a distant lead guitar picks up the agony of a lonely heart and converges into a beautiful ballad rhythm, just in-time to catch the first words that compliment the guitars 'time, it needs time, to win back your love again'. It still takes me to that smoky, haunting, fire-pit corner place. They transcend your emotions in to a dark tunnel of love and pain. These guys, Scorpions, are the best in broken chords guitaring. My first guitarist in Heaven Band kept insisting that we play one song from Scorpions in all our shows, we figured out the method, but we didn't have a lead singer to match Klaus Meine tonal beauty. All that I could do was 'Another Day in Paradise'.

My best picks from Scorpions are, 'Still Loving You', 'Holiday', 'Send Me an Angel', 'Loving You Sunday Morning'.
